For instructors
Go from your material to a reviewed assessment, and stay in control after launch.
Build the assessment
SCIO drafts questions from your material. Each one is independently verified and instructor-approved before any student sees it.
Author modules
Build a course as an ordered sequence of modules. Add rich-text learning content, learning objectives, topics and file attachments.
Generate from your material
Questions are drafted from the module's content, topics and any scoped knowledge sources. Add guidance to steer them.
Verify and approve
Each question is independently verified before you see the result. You approve, reject or edit every one, and no student sees a question you have not approved.
A live question pool
Approved questions seed a pool about three times the size of one attempt, with randomised answer positions. Students get fresh questions each time.
Publish with guardrails
Publishing is refused if a module has no topics or no approved question set. SCIO tells you exactly what's missing.
Share a join code
Share a code or link with your students. Codes can expire, cap enrollments, be regenerated or be revoked.
Stay in control
Tools to see how the course is going and to step in when it matters.
Preview as a student
Run the real gating and scoring yourself. Preview attempts are excluded from all statistics.
Item analysis
See difficulty, discrimination and distractor analysis for each question, so weak questions stand out.
Intervention list
Find students who reached an attempt limit without mastering, or whose attempts far exceed the course average.
Overrides with a reason
Grant mastery, unlock a module, reset attempts or add attempts. Every override is recorded immutably in an audit trail.
Flag resolution
Review student flags. Dismiss them, quarantine a question, or quarantine across a shared source. Optionally rescore earlier attempts.
Progress monitoring
Follow each student through the course, module by module.
What your students see
Each module opens only when the one before it is mastered.
Join with a code
Students enter the code or open the link you shared, study the module, then take its assessment.
Save and resume
Multiple-choice attempts can be paused and resumed. Answers aren't shown during the attempt, and the score arrives on submit.
Feedback that explains
Students see their answer beside the correct one, with explanations, links back to the content, and the misconception a wrong choice points to.
Flag a question
If a question looks wrong or unfair, students can flag it. You review it and decide what to do.
